The Rugby Christmas Lights Show on Sunday 19th November was a huge success for everyone. The town had a wonderful evening filled with entertainment, excitement and festive cheer. Fine & Country Rugby was on hand with hot drinks, snacks, games and raffles to raise £544.18 for homelessness.

The Fine & Country team displayed their table outside their office where families and tourists were passing by. Throughout the afternoon and evening spectators would stop off for a cup of tea and to play the games. The pie-face challenge proved to be a messy, but highly successful, attraction.

The office had a number of raffle prizes on offer including:

A one hour session for two people on the Infinite Pixel’s VR experience
A photo shoot from Venture Studios
A free round of golf of four people at Whitefields Golf Club
An ironing voucher from Board Stiff
An interactive developmental learning book from Relax Kids Rugby
A Manicure or pedicure from Laura’s Lashes
A children’s party package from Itsy & Bitsy Ltd
A fresh festive door wreath from Albetine Floral Design
A Forever Living hamper
Four rugs
Food hampers

Claire Heritage from Fine & Country Rugby said: “It was a chilly, but lovely evening. We had plenty of baked cakes, as well as donations from Sainsbury’s and M&S. We are all so glad that it was a huge success and look forward to next year.”

Pixie Lott was the special guest at the event and she turned on the Christmas lights in Rugby town centre.

The Fine & Country Rugby team were raising money for Hope4, a local homeless charity which provides essential support and provisions for homeless people in Rugby. The donations raised will go towards the running costs of the centre, from paying the mortgage to buying sleeping bags.

Lilian Francis from Hope4 Rugby said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the team at Fine & Country Rugby. It is wonderful to have the support of such a dedicated and talented team helping us to alleviate homelessness and hunger in Rugby in such a fun and energetic way. Your amazing donation of £400 will go towards making this winter more bearable for those who have fallen on hard times.”
