Join the wolf pack: Fine & Country Foundation tackles the Wolf Run

On Sunday 3rd September, Lucy Robinson, Partner from Fine & Country Banbury, will be taking on a 10k run with a difference. Held at Welsh Road Farm in Warwickshire, 4,600 runners will take part, supported by their friends and family on the side-lines, for the muddiest run of their lives.

The Wolf Run is a 10 kilometre race with obstacles and a great deal of mud. The teams formed are called packs, however some people choose to enter as a ‘one man wolf pack’. Helping each other up log walls and through tangled up nets will be the key to success in this race.

Here is a sneak peak of what Lucy will be taking on. Click here to watch the video.

Lucy Robinson, said “I drive past Welsh Road Farm often and see the signs for the Wolf Run and crowds pouring into the farm twice a year for the event. It has been playing on my mind for a while now and I just decided to go for it.

“Some of my friends have taken part in previous years and told me stories of their experiences which has made me both really excited and anxious. Thankfully they explained that the race is hard work, but for all abilities. I think that I will take it semi-seriously; I won’t be walking, but I’m not a fitness machine either.

“I have recently returned from a holiday, so my training starts now. I’m really looking forward to it, though I am a little apprehensive about wading through the mud river which will nearly completely consume me!”

Lucy will be supporting the Fine & Country Foundation, which aims to reduce homelessness on local, national and international levels. Through the Fine & Country Foundation, she will support Helping Hands, a local community project based in Leamington which provides those most vulnerable with much needed support, nutrition and safety. We have worked with Helping Hands in the past and look forward to seeing the progress they can make with their new café.
