The Spring Grant Programme is Back!

The Spring Grant Programme is Back!

Last spring, The Foundation received a record number of grant applications following a majority of charity events closing due to the outbreak of Covid-19, leading to an extension of the Foundation’s Spring Grant. This year, The Foundation is pleased to announce, the Spring Grant Programme is back. Since the cancellation of the autumn round in 2020, the network has been hard at work fundraising, and we can't wait to award this next round in April.

Twice a year, The Fine & Country Foundation awards grants of up to £3,000 to charities both in the UK and overseas to aid projects in the fight against homelessness and poverty. Through your donations, The Foundation have already supported many charities across the globe, such as NOURISH in South Africa, The Henry Ronald Trust in Zimbabwe, The Lighthouse Baby Shelter in South Africa, Tshwane Leadership Foundation in South Africa and many more.

At the International Virtual Carol Concert, “a memorable celebration of music”, said Stephen de Sadler, CEO of Fine & Country South Africa, The Foundation was launched in Fine & Country South Africa. Sadler commented, “The Foundation’s stated objective of addressing the causes of homelessness and poverty worldwide will then be directly addressed in South Africa.”

Whilst the past year has undoubtedly been difficult, it was a year where people bound together, even when we were physically apart, and did what they could for their community and for homeless charities around the world. The Foundation has been inspired by climbs of Everest heights in London, going the extra mile to collect food bank donations, donations with Fine & Country referrals, impressive running challenges and COVID-19-recovery walking challenges, fundraisers which were all completed during the pandemic.

New application process

Some changes have been made to the application form. First, the application form now consists of a single document. Previously, charities had to submit the application form and a separate form agreeing to the terms & conditions. We have now simplified the application process, incorporating a two into one easy-to-complete document.

Additionally, all applications must be signed by a Fine & Country representative. As always, charities must be nominated by a Fine & Country agent for a grant. Now, a Fine & Country agent must complete Section One of the application from to confirm their nomination of the charity. Applications which have not been signed by a Fine & Country representative will not be accepted.

We will be accepting grant applications from 1st - 31st March 2021. Applications received outside of this time will not be accepted. The Foundation Board will then review all applications and decide on the successful projects. They will be notified in April, with funds donated in May.

Fine & Country agents make their pledges for 2021

The annual Fine & Country Conference was held virtually for the first time, in February 2021. Fine & Country agents from all over the globe gathered at their screens to acknowledge the incredible achievements for the network in the past year, including the many ways Fine & Country agents stepped up to the plate to raise funds for The Foundation.

During the event, an overwhelming number of Fine & Country offices from around the globe made their pledges to raise funds to fight causes of homelessness and poverty through the Fine & Country Foundation. Thank you to everyone who pledged on the day, here are just some of the commitments made, from across the network:

"We will be donating £100 per completion and asking our sellers if they will do the same"

"Commitment from me as CEO of South Africa is to establish the F&C Foundation as a registered charity in SA. We will make the Foundation part of our lives as well."

"F&C Turnham Green Terrace will also commit £100 per completion again in 2021!"

"Last year we raised over £3700 for our local homeless centre through our direct donations and fundraising efforts - this year our pledge is to match this and more"

"£100 per completion for sales and £50 per completion for lettings from our team... Let's go!"

"In 2020 we committed to donating £100 per completion and we will do the same in 2021"

"Following on from our office move in 2020 we are hoping to be able to to finally hold an opening event in 2021 which will be there to raise money for The Foundation"

"£100 for every sale that completes. A great cause and I know a small contribution can go a long way and literally change lives. Together we can make a massive difference."

"Our pledge is to work with our F&C colleagues in Wales to set up a fundraising event."

Thank you to the tremendous efforts and genorsity made by the Fine & Country network and the public for making the Grant Programme possible. Support charities all over the world - make a donation to the Fine & Country Foundation today.
