The Spring Grant Programme is Back!

The Spring Grant Programme is Back!

Last spring, The Foundation received a record number of grant applications following a majority of charity events closing due to the outbreak of Covid-19, leading to an extension of the Foundation’s Spring Grant. This year, The Foundation is pleased to announce, the Spring Grant Programme is back. Since the cancellation of the autumn round in 2020, the network has been hard at work fundraising, and we can't wait to award this next round in April.

Twice a year, The Fine & Country Foundation awards grants of up to £3,000 to charities both in the UK and overseas to aid projects in the fight against homelessness and poverty. Through your donations, The Foundation have already supported many charities across the globe, such as NOURISH in South Africa, The Henry Ronald Trust in Zimbabwe, The Lighthouse Baby Shelter in South Africa, Tshwane Leadership Foundation in South Africa and many more.

At the International Virtual Carol Concert, “a memorable celebration of music”, said Stephen de Sadler, CEO of Fine & Country South Africa, The Foundation was launched in Fine & Country South Africa. Sadler commented, “The Foundation’s stated objective of addressing the causes of homelessness and poverty worldwide will then be directly addressed in South Africa.”

Whilst the past year has undoubtedly been difficult, it was a year where people bound together, even when we were physically apart, and did what they could for their community and for homeless charities around the world. The Foundation has been inspired by climbs of Everest heights in London, going the extra mile to collect food bank donations, donations with Fine & Country referrals, impressive running challenges and COVID-19-recovery walking challenges, fundraisers which were all completed during the pandemic.

New application process

Some changes have been made to the application form. First, the application form now consists of a single document. Previously, charities had to submit the application form and a separate form agreeing to the terms & conditions. We have now simplified the application process, incorporating a two into one easy-to-complete document.

Additionally, all applications must be signed by a Fine & Country representative. As always, charities must be nominated by a Fine & Country agent for a grant. Now, a Fine & Country agent must complete Section One of the application from to confirm their nomination of the charity. Applications which have not been signed by a Fine & Country representative will not be accepted.

We will be accepting grant applications from 1st - 31st March 2021. Applications received outside of this time will not be accepted. The Foundation Board will then review all applications and decide on the successful projects. They will be notified in April, with funds donated in May.
