Leftover Luxury: Fine & Country Northampton's Jumble Sale

Leftover Luxury: Fine & Country Northampton's Jumble Sale

On Saturday 9 September Fine & Country Northampton will host a jumble sale at All Saint’s Church in the town centre. Tables will display clothes, handbags, accessories and household items, all of which will be in very good condition. The jumble sale will begin at 10am and end at 1pm.

We invite you to join us at our jumble sale for a day of hidden treasures and treats, with all proceeds helping reduce homelessness.

The proceeds will be donated largely by Fine & Country clients. Moving home often requires a spring clean so Jonathan Lloyd-Ham, Branch Manager at Fine & Country Northampton, decided that we could use these clear outs for a great cause.

We have a number of raffle prizes available for just £1 per ticket:

Fortnum and Mason Hamper
Two bottles of Champagne
Large Box of Thorntons Chocolates
A scented candle and ladies designer silk scarf
15 Books from Waterstone
Vouchers from Tesco and Boots
A cultured pearl bracelet
A potted rose

Jonathan said, “We really want to do something which brings the local community together, and the jumble sale seems like the perfect event. So many of our clients tell me how they are having a big clear out to prepare for their new home and it occurred to me that we could hold a fantastic event and prevent these items from going to waste”.

All donations from the jumble sale will go to the Hope Centre, a homeless charity in Northampton which runs a day centre and provides support and services to the most vulnerable, helping them become self-sufficient. 10 per cent of donations will go to All Saint’s Church who are kindly letting us host the jumble sale under their portico.

Hope Centre spokesperson Tanya Haji-Miller said, “We have provided support for disadvantaged, homeless and poor people in Northampton for over 40 years. Thanks to generous people in our community, and organisations including the Fine & Country Foundation, we are able to provide hot food, drinks, showers, clothing and workshops and training to local people who are most in need.

Do you have something you would like to donate? Please contact Jonathan Lloyd-Ham here for more details.

The Fine & Country Foundation hosts a wide range of events, from coffee mornings to trekking to Everest Base Camp and work with a number of homeless charities. We are always looking for new charities to work with and support. If you are interested in organising or taking part in an event, please contact us here as we would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.
