Foundation Pledges for 2020

Foundation Pledges for 2020

After an incredibly successful 2019, with over £100,000 raised towards The Foundation, the positive outlook at the year ahead was infectious at this year’s Fine & Country Annual Conference. Throughout the course of the day, the pledge board became host to vows from agents, exhibitors and head office, each one challenging the imagination of the last.

The more athletic volunteers among us, committed to running whole marathons and half marathons, walking 50km through the peak district and taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge – climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours.  Not to mention, a strong contingency of Fine & Country HQ pledging to face the wrath of Tough Mudder this summer.

For another year, people will be stepping up and sleeping out, experiencing a glimpse of the situation so many people find themselves in today. Whilst raising awareness and money towards fighting homelessness, this will be one of the most meaningful night’s sleep of their lives.

Upping the ante – and bringing the fear-factor this year - we can’t wait to support those who have pledged to conquer their fears. With some throwing themselves out of planes in a sponsored skydive, and others testing the strength of their stomachs in an ‘I’m a Celebrity’ style eating challenge. The bravery and creativity of our members is set to reach new heights!

Not only were we inspired by the flurry of pledges yet to be taken on, but the conversations of reminiscence of past challenges. Hearing people exchanging anecdotes and fond memories, only reinforced the principal of why these commitments are made. Whether your office is hosting a local event, you’re attending a fundraiser, or going to sit in a bath of beans, we’re each an invaluable part of supporting The Fine & Country Foundation and combating the causes of homelessness.

Thank you again to everyone who pledged on the day, and to those who are "still coming up with a great idea", we can't wait to hear what you come up with!
