Fine & Country Head Office Pledges to Donate Life-Changing Funds to the Foundation

Fine & Country Head Office are excited to announce a new scheme, in which the Foundation will receive £100 on the completion of every successful referral made by Fine & Country agents, as of August 1st 2020. This referral-donation scheme will run indefinitely, aiming to give back to those less fortunate, during these challenging times.

Already, the Fine & Country Foundation have donated almost £500,000 in life-changing funds to charities both in the UK and internationally, with the mission of fighting the causes of homelessness and poverty. Cooperating and working together as a global network, Fine & Country agents will be helping to further raise invaluable funds to support charities in their mission.

Jon Cooke, Global CEO of Fine & Country, said:

“Over recent years the Fine & Country Foundation has given away thousands of pounds to help the homeless and those in poverty. Myself and the Fine & Country team are dedicated to building on this success and with this in mind we are really pleased to announce this initiative. Putting it simply, by referring across our network we can help those in need - a great way to give something back, particularly in these challenging times”

Who are these donations helping?

Charities PATH, operating in Torbay and NOURISH, in South Africa, were two of 17 organisations who received donations through the Fine & Country Foundation Spring Grant programme, in May of this year.

The Fine & Country Foundation said:

“Twice a year, the board of The Fine & Country Foundation allocate grants to charities across the globe, helping them in their tireless work in fighting homelessness and poverty. Being able to reward these grants and knowing that the seemingly token gesture on our part is making life changing differences for vulnerable communities, is truly humbling.”

NOURISH cooperates with the Department of Social Development in South Africa, linking conservation and community to build sustainable solutions to battle issues of poverty, low education standards, lack of food security and unemployment. The Fine & Country Foundation donated £1,000 to go towards essential food hampers and meals for vulnerable children and households, vegetable seedlings, hand-sewn facemasks, and hygiene essentials.

Sarah Bergs, the Founder of NOURISH, said:

“THANK YOU for the amount of food security you have made possible; Nourish has always believed in the importance of Growing a Resilient Community, and never more so than now; so thank you for supporting this, and in addition for helping us aid conservation through feeding the wildlife communities, because fighting poverty is fighting poaching.”

PATH Torbay provides essential daily support, food, advice and provisions to vulnerable and homeless people in the area of Torquay, UK. Through the Fine & Country Foundation Spring Grant programme, PATH received a £2,646 grant for essential equipment, items for 4,000 meal packs, and additional food purchases to supplement donations for six weeks.

PATH Torbay, said:

“The funding has helped PATH to remain open every single day through lockdown and provide 13,028 packed lunches and hot meal takeaways during April and May, along with 19,761 meals in food parcels delivered to people struggling to access food in Torbay. Thank you so much for thinking of us and the people we support.”
