Fancy a cuppa? Find out how the 2017 coffee morning went

This year’s coffee morning was a huge success with Fine & Country offices across the country pulling out all the stops in the name of cake and charity. Each office had its own unique take on the coffee morning, with some offices branching outside their offices with gazebos and scones at the ready.

Liz Hyde, from the Fine & Country Studio in Cambridge said, “We had a brilliant turnout and a great selection of cakes, cookies and cheesecake. Belinda received two marriage proposals from customers who ate her Kinder Bueno cheesecake. We look forward to next year’s coffee morning.”

Tania Nickelson, Branch Manager at Fine & Country Ingatestone said, “We can’t wait to take part again next year, we wish we could do it every week. We had a wide range of bought and baked items and provided take-away boxes for the people who couldn’t stay. We promoted the event a lot in the local area so we were thrilled to see that people had arranged to meet for a coffee at our gazebo.”

Claire Heritage, Fine & Country Rugby said, “We can’t wait for next year. It was a delightful morning with plenty of cake for all the passers-by. My favourite was the chocolate cake, but then again I did make it.”

Adam Farrell, Fine & Country Brighton & Hove said, “I donated a vegan cake, which everyone was suspicious of until they tried it and then it was gone before I knew it. A local baker made a cake which also went very quickly. We have decided to donate our proceeds to the Clock Tower Sanctuary, a local homeless charity specialising in under 25 year olds. We have supported them in the past and had a tour to see the incredible work they do. We will definitely be signing up next year.”

Our Brighton & Hove office donated £119.10 to the Clock Tower Sanctuary to help promote the importance of healthy eating and nutrition within their day centre and workshops. Natalia Borg, the Development Manager at The Clock Tower Sanctuary says, “It’s been great to have the support from our local Hove office. A big thanks to the staff (and bakers!) who are all so passionate to do what they can to tackle youth homelessness in the city.”

We are delighted to announce that we have raised a total of £880.41 for homelessness. A huge congratulations to Ingatestone, Essex who raised £288!

Fine & Country Solihull have decided to round-up their donation to £1,000, bringing our total raised for the event to £1,804.16! Thank you so Clint Nykamp and the team at Solihull for your generosity.
