This December, The Fine & Country Foundation is proud to once again take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, an annual campaign that transforms generosity into life-changing support for those who need it most. From 2nd December to 9th December, every donation made through our official Big Give link will be doubled, allowing your contribution to have twice the impact.
The Big Give is a national charitable initiative that brings together donors, charities and match funders with one shared goal: to make every pound of support go further. Each year, participating charities secure pledge funding that matches public donations pound for pound throughout the week-long Christmas Challenge. This creates a unique opportunity for supporters to maximise their impact at a time of year when many families are struggling the most.
The need for this support has never been more urgent. Today, at least 354,000 people in England are homeless, including 161,500 children. This is an increase of 44,500 people compared to last year, and behind every number is a family without a safe place to call home. Through the Big Give, every donation made to The Fine & Country Foundation is doubled, helping us reach even more families in crisis with warmth, safety and the hope of a brighter future. The Christmas period is especially difficult for those experiencing homelessness, and this campaign offers a powerful way to make a meaningful difference when it matters most.
Since its creation in 2014, The Fine & Country Foundation has stayed committed to its mission to combat homelessness across the UK and internationally. Over the last decade, The Foundation has raised and donated over £1 million to organisations working tirelessly to support vulnerable individuals and families. This achievement has only been possible thanks to the dedication of the entire Fine & Country network, whose fundraising efforts have helped drive lasting, positive change in countless communities.
The money raised by The Foundation is distributed through its spring and autumn grant schemes, which offer charities and organisations the chance to receive up to £3,000 in funding. Through nominations from the Fine & Country network, local initiatives that address homelessness can apply for support to continue their essential work. These grants enable organisations to provide shelter, food, counselling, outreach services and long-term support to those most in need, both in the UK and overseas.
