Highlights from the annual Fine & Country conference

Fine & Country’s annual conference was a spectacular event on Friday 2nd February. More than 200 Fine & Country agents made their way to Westminster Bridge County Hall to hear the latest developments from the network, listen to inspirational talks and support The Fine & Country Foundation. It was the largest Fine & Country conference to date and a huge success all round. Keep reading for all the highlights and developments for the Foundation.

In the morning we listened to talks, including from Fine & Country CEO, David Lindley, who spoke on the progress of the Foundation in 2017. Last year saw the Foundation’s most successful year ever, with an incredible 21 fundraising events and a total of £133,632.36 raised for homeless charities. This certainly kept in line with the conference theme of ‘Be Extraordinary’.

During the intervals, guests enjoyed networking and speaking to our sponsors and exhibitors. The Foundation had a giant pledge board on display for guests to write down their charity challenges for 2018. Our board was filled with eager and wacky ideas including: the 12 marathons challenge, the Dodo trail in Mauritius and Tough Mudders.

As day turned to evening, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner accompanied by a roaming band which entertained guests during and after the meal. As a surprise before the awards ceremony, we showed the room a brand new video from our expedition to Everest Base Camp in October, which showed what happened when they visited the village we are rebuilding in Nepal.

Our video was quickly followed by the text donation service, which inspired the room to get behind our project. Multiple offices even asked about sponsoring a whole house. Thank you to everyone who helped us to support this village. To help us fund more houses, please donate here
